Like the way the power delivery is setup, you can use a conventional triple and drive thru the small ring and therefor use readily available parts
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

Hate to say it, but the pic shown here doesn't look terribly practical to me. The position of those bars would leave the rider all cramped for space and in a fairly non-aero position. And what's with the knobbies on the rear?
Cheers,
Graeme

Apparently dem slow bikes aren't quite so slow in Texas.
At the recent Texas Time Trials, John Schlitter (the bloke who designs and sells Bacchettas) set a new record time for individual riders of 29 hours and 1 minute to cover the 500 mile course. The TTT is open to all bikes, all riders, so it's a pretty good feat.
Another bent rider set a new lap record of 50 minutes for the 20 mile lap. That rider was part of the team which beat the previous 4-man record of 25.5 hours for the 500 miles, all on bents too.
Here's the thread on BROL.comfor further reading.
I don't think any of these guys are significantly under 40 years old. Slow bikes? Me thinks not!
Cheers,
Graeme
