The cycleway is 38 km from Prestons to Old Windsor Rd, so one end and back makes 76 km. Maybe you did 7 km to and fro the start ? I haven't noticed any worrying cracks south of Westlink office. North of Deans Park there are some poorly designed pit lids. Some have been vandalised (e.g. the one Rockford came to grief on), others abutting the motorway concrete fences just look like they've always had nasty gaps. Cycling over the pit lids is a bit risky - like stepping on footpath cracks, it's best avoided. Since Rockford's stack, Westlink have been busy filling bitumen gaps (heaps of new bitumen snakes). Maybe that makes it look like there's a bigger problem than it is. Cheers

I live at Wiston Hills, it is indeed 7.0k to the start of the cycleway.

Out on the M7C (M7 cycleway) again this morning, heading south at Powers Rd, about 9:30, passed (just) by another MBSO (Motorised BSO...), these are really getting thick on the ground...

Just back from a M7C end to end and back, only one MBSO this morning, I was heading south about the GWH and he was heading north, very noisy. Right down the south end, a service vehicle is coming the other way slowly, I slow, just as I pass it a rabbit runs out from the grass at side, probably waiting for car to pass, very close, only missed it by a hare's breadth... funny thing was he (or she) was still there when I was coming back... must be getting close to Easter.

It was Clean up Australia day today, I saw them starting to setup near Dean Park today, so they might have removed a lot of sharps.

A cyclist was busy sweeping the cycleway with a small branch of trees just north of Lamb St around 6 pm-ish today. The area was actually much clearer of glass that it had been for a few weeks.
Either zozza hard at work, or he's inspired others to help with it or maybe some clean-up Australia activities have helped.
'onya if it was your handiwork again Zozza.
Cheers

Simplest way (not safest) is straight West on the M4 shoulder to the M7 at the Lighthorse interchange. Russ
