Watched on Foxtel, thought Contador had it but Evans had the kick and won pretty easy, hows that climb 22% gradients. Looks a different riders to years past.

Bring on Giro I think Evans particuarily how he motered past Contador could be rated favorite particuarily as he has set himself for this for a long time.

Looking forward to Liege-Bastogne-Liege which I am not sure if Contador is riding??

Great win for Cadel, be interesting to see what Aussie press has to say

Yeah very nice win...man the Huy is tough!.
Contador didn't look like he exploded...but he had no punch at all at the finish.
Contador drove from Spain...of course he is riding LBL! :D .

Thanks for the link :D

Just watched it, epic win over a very strong field. Not the same as beating Contador on a "Tour" climb, but will give Cadel enormous confidence. How good is he going

Smart riding and great win by Cadel. Seems even at the top level you can learn that little something that makes the difference. Cadel said post race his DS showed him the place to attack on a training recon and it paid off. He is riding like a different person this year with the rainbow jersey and he's found the right team for him after all those years. Victories like these will give him confidence when going mano o' mano in the Giro/Tour.

His move to BMC could be the career changing move for him. And with Astana perhaps not as strong as they have been, maybe Contador won't be so dominant in July. Could be very wrong on both counts though.

What a great ride, i watched the two vids on youtube that went from about 30km out. It was great how Cadel sat back for so long and just kept his nose clean/under te radar.

The last 200 m he just exploded, I thought he was dropped early on in the climb and he bridged that gap with no help.

I think he is going all out for the Giro and not worrying about the tour so much.

Also dont forget teh Tour De Romandie is on ONEHD next week, it starts with a prolouge.

And tour of flanders is replayed this sunday on sbs.

we should ahve a thread for upcoming viewing of any races and also any good sites/streams that we find.

Actually the overhead shot shows that Cadel won it by quite a bit...the front on shot must have been on a super long lense.

Still can't believe Cadel beat Contador on a steep climb. Maybe TdF won't be so one sided this year.
