Actually Riding Recumbents!

Postby Poiter » Mon Apr 26, 2010 7:23 pm

Where else in Australia can you go out and ride with six other lowracers?
The Canberra OzHPV Mob has seen a shift towards lowracers in the past few years.
(Lowracer 7 joined us after a coffee stop).
Turned a few heads as we rode around.

Peter, not everyone is included in the pic!

A little trick I learned last week- keep your pixel width down to 595 pixels and the forum will display it on all PC screen size formats.

Be seeing you as you pass Torbanlea maybe, I'll be the tall fool waving and taking your picture at the same time.

Great to see.
It would be great to ride in a bunch like that.
I met PeterB at Mt. Stromolo when I bought my Corsa. Quite a character. He arrived with luggage attached to his bike, removed it and added a number (he chose #1) then joined in the races. After the races he just put it back on again then rode home, or somewhere. A likeable character.

The magnificent 7! :)

It would be great to go on a group ride with other lowracers.

Can't be that many lowracers in Perth. I have one (from Martin at Logo Trikes) but haven't ridden it since my DF dumped me on a bikepath 2 years ago. There's maybe 3 Optima Barons I've seen, the carbon lowracer, what else? Craig at Just Bents was selling a TW Bents lowracer model but I don't know how many he's sold besides that carbon model. Someone had a Challenge model but I think that was sold. Any idea how big the family is over here?

I have a homebuilt long wheelbase lowracer but I guess I'm a bit far south to qualify. :D
Have to bring it up to the city sometime.
