Paddled just over 10kms and walked the dogs a couple of kms. I wish I had time for a ride too :(

I just got back from a run at lunch, it rained... but I was 3 minutes faster for a point that normally takes me 12 minutes, so I was down to 9 minutes this time

Running home from French class tonight and will leave the bike at work to run in in the morning.

It's the best time of the day to run.

Cheers Apple but you did that all yourself!:-) Sadly I won't be riding today - the dreaded lurgy cold has caught up with me. My head is full of snot and I sound like a barking dog when I cough! Time to refuel on ventolin me thinks! :(

Finally braved the spare room and did 50km on the trainer.

Tried to find the up-go to do a 3km jog/shuffle, but I can't be bothered after roast pork :D

Heads up - regarding the cold.

I don't know if you are on the mailing list but Wiggle have some long sleeve basewear tops on special for <$20. Mens and ladies.

I have 4 tops (2 sleeveless and 2 long sleeve) and if you wear one under your jersey it keeps me toasty, handles the sweat well, etc. I use sleeveless with a set of arm warmers if I think I may need to shed a layer.

Check them out - and if you buy any, remember to get them as a tighter\firmer fit than you normally might. Otherwise they really bulk up your jersey.

Good tip. I recently purchased a sleeveless thermal top (just from Myer) in black and it looks and feels and works well under a jersey.

On topic, I did commute to work and back today (a bit under 30kms). Every week I do two (hard) yoga classes of 1.5 hours each and 2 or 3 commutes and ideally 1 longer ride, depending on commitments etc. So now that I've typed all that out, I'm going to feel extra blessed for sticking to it!

I went for a jog/shuffle. Week 5 of the Couch to 5kms program so I'm pleased to have made it so far. It has taken more than 5 weeks but only because I'm nursing an injury. Nursing the fact that I'm not meant to run with my shins and, as I couldn't work out how else to run, I've ignored doctor's orders to see how far I can get before I hurt. In all the years I played super competitive hockey and soccer, and even in the time I raced triathlons, I have never been able to run 5kms without stopping. I used to almost sprint, stop, recover, repeat. Triathlon runs are not recommended done that way but it worked for me :)

So anyhoo...after that, I raised my heart rate in a much more fun way. Mr Moo and I went new laptop shopping :D Looks like we will soon be the proud owners of 2 new macbook pros. With the 2 dogs we wil make such a lovely family 8)

Pathetic this morning, went for a walk on the golf course with my beautiful dog and I see a geriatric that I know who started to talk to me and decided to join me with his dog that needed to be admitted to an old home shelter.

Because I am so nice I walked with the aging pair for a kilometre, it took an hour.
Not happy Jan, But I made an old geezer and his hound happy.
Tomorrow I will run.

Early morning spin - always harder than I can push myself on the road. Love it.

Went to the gym yesterday and spinned (spun?) and then yoga'd for an hour. The yoga was sucky and boring though my tummy did feel like it was stretched and taunt the day after. Spinning nearly killed me - haven't been on the spin bike for 3 weeks and I could really feel it. Much tougher than a ride in terms of burning the lungs and legs

Really want to get back on the bike ASAP
