today was interval day and the group I ride with early have a good hit out for a few km's along Kirra beach (Near coolangatta) we hit the pace pretty hard, the difference between the old aluminium frame and the new carbon was huge, more responsive and the bike hit speed quicker and easier than the aluminium. Many many hours and miles have been put in on the old aluminium frame this year so it is easy to notice the difference... Wondering how titanium would feel to ride... havent got a spare $10k floating around though.Chaderotti wrote:How much Placebo did you have in the morning Scuba?

I purchased my focus bike from Wiggle had it delivered to NZL and then flown into Australia. Please note you can't get wiggle to send Focus bikes to Aust directly , hence it had to come in from NZL.Richard.L wrote:kujux nice Focus where did you get it from? Should save for a cammera next

I won't say I'm hooked just yet, but looking forward to compliment my running/gym training with some more exciting riding!
here's my new toy I picked up today : 2010 Avanti Vivace
Full 105 groupset, tiagra brakes, shimano pedals, Specialized shoes, couple of lights, etc etc!
Upgrade-itis has already sunk in and I'm on the lookout for a Selle Italia Max Flite / Specialized Toupe saddle

Have you been fitted to the bike? The saddle is slopping down and comparing the logo of the zero seat post with mine it is really high

Yep I've been fitted to the bike (LBS dude did a basic set-up manually, then punched all my details into his computer system to get accurate dimensions) - the bike feels comfortable, so I guess it's been fitted fineRichard.L wrote:A saddle is more of a must

Regarding the seat angle - the more neutral position seemed to put too much pressure on 'the boys'... this angle is much more comfortable... I'll get some more advice / changes done at the first shakedown service in a few weeks

And that is my pride and joy, my baby, my ride and yes I love her to death! That Orbea Diva is my really my poser bike as I don't deserve to ride anything as nice as her but hey, bought her with 2 months of savings from working in a dingy ice cream shop off Ebay, blinged her out and she's worth every single cent.
Even when I'm not riding her, she still makes a awesome room ornament.

And 5.76 is actual weight on my scales, not a "claimed" weight.
Wheels are Zipp 202 Tubbies, SRAM RED, Specialized Cranks and TRP Magnesium Brakes
