nitto bullhorns

Postby backofthebunch » Thu Apr 29, 2010 1:46 pm

anyone ridden with rb-021 or rb-019 nitto bullhorns? these are the style with the drop.

what are the differences between the 2 ?
any review of them would be good

I like the look of them, and also think the shape would suit how i ride given my current use of the hoods.

I have a Bowery, the other question is would these fit as a straight swap for the drops it came with?

Ive got the RB-021s, they are a 26.0. clamp. I like the positions bullhorns can give, so im a fan.

Another thing to consider is, if you run S/S or brake levers you will need to swap to TT levers that slip into the bar ends.

yeah, i've looked into the levers, will add to the cost of the change, but i guess i'm not digging the current bars i've got.

Alot of bullhorns are too flat, i want something with a bit of drop.

beside's the nitto's any other brands with a simular shaped bar?

Soma, Profile, Ritchie all make bullhorns with an extra drop from the stem. This thread shows all the examples. I rate the Profile as they have cable holes which make it easier to route the cables, but I have the regular Profile Stoker bullhorns.

oh and a shameless plug, I'm selling some Diacompe bullhorn brake levers on this forum, nice and cheap, BNIB. ;)
If you've got a $10 head, get a $10 helmet

Hey anyone know where in Melbourne I can buy Nitto RB021>

I have seen them advertised at BSC, but their price seems a bit steep at about $100...

seen them cheaper elsewhere, mainly on the net though. i may end up buying off net anyway.

Hi mate,

You can get them at Kookie Bikes. Unsure if they are a Melbourne store but about $15 for shipping.

cheers
