Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frameLook, Look, Look is all I see. Look...'s heavy to me.
Cheers BrentonO Lone Rider- I rode on the long, dark road... before I danced under the lights.
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frame"Affordable", average looking LOOK track frame? Sounds like there's a lot being paid for the 4 letters.
There are alternate solutions. http://cgi.ebay.com/LOOK-FRAME-DECALS-p ... _704wt_970 Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frameFrame is 100g lighter than the Look 496 ($12K for frame only). So no, it isnt heavy.
Anyway, just thought I would share it. It looks like a top bit of kit to me.
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frame
When did track riders start to worry excessively about weight? Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frame
Nearly 2Kg seems heavy for a modern alloy frame without any fittings, eh. And as I said, "LooK"s heavy. Track Riders, are like anybody else, mate, when you reach a level (you may, some-day?) every little thing counts, I can personally vouch for that (more so than road riders) Every millimeter and microsecond counts, if your not familiar with the track, and competition. Hope that helps your understanding. Cheers, BrentonO Lone Rider- I rode on the long, dark road... before I danced under the lights.
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frameNicce
I know its a track frame but i always have liked he LOOK of LOOK bikes simple NO wavvey bits on it I guess its we can all LOOK but not touch Colnago C59 for the long road
Cervelo S2 for the short road GT Carbon Pro for the mountain Kono Kula deluxe / slicks for the foot paths Cannondale dually for the big stuff ![]()
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frameSo long as you, have done your research, on the frame and you're happy with it, that's all that matters.
I like the colour scheme on it. Regards Gary I don't suffer fools easily and so long as you have done your best, you should have no regrets.

Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frameLooks like any other double triangle frame with an "aero" downtube to me.
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frame
Did the research include a Pantone colour match on the end product? Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frameMate,
Just go for one of these, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/fixie-track-fixe ... 414f374854 Doubt you would notice the "differance", when you LooK at it, and save yourself ~80% of the price. Can put the savings to some "LOOK" decals. Anyway, all the best, it will only be the time you put in on the bike, that will make the final difference. Cheers, BrentonO Lone Rider- I rode on the long, dark road... before I danced under the lights.
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frameTrack bikes still have to meet a minimum weight.
With less "dangly" bits than a roadie, there can be more weight in the frame which usually results in a stiffer bike. Perfect for power transfer. So because the frame maybe heavier than a roadie frame doesnt mean trackies dont watch their weight. BTW i dont worry about weight!! Beanzy

This looks like a top bit of kit to me (You can bid it up to a grand http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Cinelli-Supercor ... 0392996381 If your LOOKing for a top track bike, works for me. Cheers, BrentonO Lone Rider- I rode on the long, dark road... before I danced under the lights.
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track framethat is a very nice bit of kit indeed! I would lurve some steel for a nice road or track bike, one day I will own a nice Colnago Master x-light... mmmm...
Are there any shops in the Sydney area that keep a reasonable range of track bikes in store? Most places I've visited all have to order a bike in order for me to be fitted for it... And if I don't end up getting it I'd feel like I was wasting their time.
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track framei quite like the 464, could be tempted to buy one although i have something else in mind for my next track frame
if i get killed while out on my bike i dont want a 'memorial ride' by random punters i have never met.
Re: Finally, an affordable LOOK track frame
"Bit over the budget" Went for $1455.90 and must be two happy punters, buyer and the seller. A very nice frame. Cheers, BrentonO Lone Rider- I rode on the long, dark road... before I danced under the lights.
