I had a fabulous productive day. I rode, did a few hours of serious housework, and I went bowling with the family for mother day. Bowling is a sport so i'm counting it!

I had french tonight so its a bit of a rest day for me, spent 45 minutes on the trainer, didn't run at lunch today cause I had to do my french homework.

Tomorrow... run and ride... looking forward to it!

Yesterday was good. Did a 30 minute run/walk (my couch to 5k program) and it all came together in the run. Normally I hate it. I hate the tiny hill I go up 3-4 times (i do a 1km loop round the block). Last night I shortened my stride a bit and quickened it. I barely felt the hill and didn't get a puffed either. I think I am more used to sprints despite it being a long time since I did. Maybe shorter strides are better for me for longer distances? I'll keep trying it.

Anyway, after that, I did 40 minutes on the trainer. About 900 calories burnt for all of that.

Tonight, I paddled for about an hour (about 6kms tonight as it was too nice to go hard :) ), and I'm just about to jump on the trainer for 45 minutes.

I'm on a roll :D

1hour on the trainer, followed by a beautiful 7km (pace 5 minutes 30 seconds), mind you even though it was awesome... almost killed myself and died, that was hard, that was very fast for me, couldn't do it over 10km yet... probably a few months away from that.

My right shoulder started hurting on the 3rd km as per usual and stopped hurting my the 4th km.

I'm starting to like the trainer

An hour on the mountain bike on a crisp clear autumn morning. Did some single track at Stromlo where the carpark was empty, so I had just the black cockatoos and kangaroos for company :D

Yay Missy - starting to like the trainer huh? :D Come over to the dark side...

I didn't do anything yesterday. Had tickets for RockWiz - first time in WA and last night was the end of their 4 shows. Great night.

Today however I will be on the trainer - 30-60 minutes depending on the weather. I would like to go for a run too, but not if it is raining. If it does rain, longer on the trainer. If it doesn't, shorter trainer, plus a run.

This morning I could have paddled down our street...we've had 2 days of rain this year basically - both have flooded various bits of Perth.

Moo what can I do? The dark side really is dark! But on the plus side I don't need to wear as many clothes!!!! I put a bra on and some bib shorts and thats it! Which is great cause I don't really like layers and layers of clothes... plus turns out there are no traffic lights on the trainer.

Anyhow... Got back from squad, I have no idea what happened... but I got better

I've got some catching up to do. Last thursday I ended up riding 30minutes and running 30 minutes. I was so happy with that that I did nothing on Friday!! Not intentional, just how the chores worked out.

Saturday morning saw me test paddling a composite racing ski (kayak) as I'm thinking about upgrading mine. Nice 5km paddle but a lot more tippy than my current ride. I didn't fall in thank goodness as it was only 3 degrees when I set out  Gotta get me some warm water wear. Mr Moo also went out...in a borrowed kayak as he is considering upgrading his to that model. Anyway, he did stack it and, apart from freezing, his calf cramped when it hit the cold water and it is still sore (that was one helluva cramp!!), and his sunglasses are at the bottom of the river. Rudy Project Rydon's with 3fx smoke linses and RX insert. About $700 gone. Looks like another insurance claim for us!!

On the way home I had a migraine so went to bed until 1.30pm :(

Sunday was better - 54kms on the trainer :)

I think I'm up to date now!! :D

Forgot to say I rode for a 50km ride on Sunday, very hilly may I say and almost killed me. Have been busy with cleaning up years of hoarding from previous owner, so have not been on the forum much. I have to say I enjoyed my ride immensely

Rained today so did nothing.
I did run with my dog yesterday and I rode on Friday.
I am off to San Francisco next Friday but may report while away for the week, I will only be able to walk or run

I left my heart in San Francisco. Beautiful city, very much like Sydney in many ways. When I was there, I hung around the Bay Area/Silicon Valley, but the city is quirky and charming.

I'm jealous.

I went to the blvd and did 6 laps and it hurt, I averaged 31km/h which is good for all the ups and the downs.

Almost got my arse kicked by a really fat bloke (good on him), I don't think I can keep up on the downhill as well as I used to...

I ate breakfast twice today, it probably wasn't necessary though

Ran with my dog again for about 4km.
Hope I keep my promise about riding tomorrow :|
