I wipped this up in Google Earth to see what the Weston Pond construction was leading to. I've traced the Bike path where it was visible and put it on top of the TAMS picture to get an idea how the pond will impact on it. Sooner or the later the bike path will be going. My guess is they will build a temporary path sending cyclists up towards the RSPCA and out onto Cotter road until construction is finished.

Paper today said that they are putting in a new temp path now due to a find of asbestos.

There were signs up a few weeks ago saying Asbestos removal in progress.
Also saw some clearing up near the defence college earlier in the week so figured they were doing the realignment.
