Hi from a new member in Mitcham S.A
Postby cellboy » Tue Jun 08, 2010 3:22 pm
What a great forum, very happy to have come across something like this while looking around for my new bike.
My names Paul, i am about to turn 40, and it's been over 20 years since i spent any time on a bike.
Last friday night while drunk, i ordered my new bike online from cell bikes (http://www.cellbikes.com.au). I heard a few good things about them and have a mate who's right into bikes and has had no problems with his victor over the past two years.
Anyhow, the swift looked like fairly good blurry value given the full tiagra gear and carbon forks for $899 so i bit the bullet.
I could have it in any colur i wanted as long as i wanted yellow.
Got a call yesterday morning to say that it had neen dispatched and should be at my place by tommorrow morning.
I'm mainly doing this to get fit for my mid like crisis, so if you see me plugging away feel free to take the piss, it will help my motivation.
Cheers

Sorry Missy, I gotta disagree - I'm hot. A legend in my own mind.

Or, in the words of Mac Davis:
"Some folks say I'm egotistical. Hell I don't even know what that means. I think it's got something to do with the way that I fill out my skin tight blue jeans."

If you like some riding company, there are two groups who ride around that area. There is the Ringwood Road Ride or the Maling Room Ride (MRR). The MRR starts in Canterbury Rd, Canterbury and turns into Blackburn Rd to connect to Whitehorse Rd. Left at Mitcham Rd and return via Doncaster Rd. Coffee after ride for those who like to linger around. MRR is a pretty big group but divided into 3 based on speed. RRR as I understand it is also a good ride and recreational. Check out BV forums:

Tiagra is reasonably good running gear. My wife uses Tiagra as well and she has never complained about it.
Happy riding.

That is even better. SA is one of the best states for cycling imo.
