I can focus on everything else, except getting this out of my head.
Why should you push it out of your head?

Whatever has gone on recently (and I obviously have no idea) - your subconcious mind keeps bringing it to the fore.

Considering how much you love yourself and want only good things for yourself, there is a part of you that thinks it is a good idea to have this sitting in the fore of your mind.

So why disregard this instinct?

Take some time out to sit still, loosen your body, relax your muscles, think about the comfort of sitting in your chair as you sit at the time you do this and just ask yourself what is so important. Discuss the issue within yourself and ponder it ... possibly aimlessly. There will be a time at the end where you can ask if it is okay to let it go and you may be surprised when you give yourself permission to do exactly that.

I know why its so important, I already know, I could send you 37 emails stating why its so important and what it meant to me, I've done what I know how to do and I've written it down 37 times in the past 4.5 months.

And it wont go away and I don't want to care anymore, and I still care, and I hate that I care and I want to hate what happened but I don't and I don't want to forget but I do.

I could publish a book about how I feel and why I care and how that made me feel... its not going to change the reality behind it, so why can't I forget?

Its a long story, its really rather simple though, probably one of the most simple stories that was ever told.

Its not for the forums.

Hi Missy,

It might be a good Idear to see a Doctor that specialises in mental health issues, and have a good talk about you well being. There are things that go on in life that can be a real pain in the butt, that you need too be shown a new way to deal or cope with, that some one that has train in can offer good advice. I am not talking about a shrink, just someone that can offer a new perspective on things!
With your sleep, see if you can get a referal to a sleep clinic, will cost you nothing. I sleep for only 1-2hrs at a time and have done for close to 20yrs and it is not good feeling like crap all the time. I have sleep apnea and need to do a 2mth trial with a airflow machine. :(

Hope it all works out for you.

Foo

Ps I had a mate that threw up after just about every training session.

That's how you know your working!

Throwing up at training - good.

Feeling bad the day after - sign of a problem.

Never thrown up after training or racing. Have however ridden that hard to not be able to stand up after getting off the bike for 5mins. Then again, my mate was a sprinter (Aus and QLD champ) so I could make him hurt like hell and beat him in scratch races over 10klm.

Hiya

I've always gotten councilling when I've needed it.

I should mention that my waking up at night is cause my cat wants to go outside, she doesn't have a cat door, because she brings home dead stuff and its too cold for her to sleep outside allll night, I need something at my feet.

I slept well last night, I got eight hours, apart from waking up to let the cat out, I slept through till 6:30 this morning and woke up without my alarm.

I felt better on the bike this morning than I have in weeks, I'm still going to take it easy for the rest of the week and just relax a bit though.

Thanks guys, keep the info coming, normally I wouldn't tell the whole forum whats going on, but I figure someone else may need the help too.

Cheers

See what a bit of sleep can do? :)

Probably should look at finding a different solution for the cat, catbox in the laundry or something with kitty litter in it perhaps?

My little cat was a stray, she walked into my house two summers ago looking for a home, and she stayed, she's only little and she isn't the prettiest thing but she's alway runs up the driveway when I come home (ok I know she wants food) but I can pretend that she wants to see me

Yeah - I was being cheeky. we have a pure bread ragdoll - lovely thing but I always make a big deal about how I hate cats. Just a household play thing.

Our last cat used to bring home dead things (the ragdoll is an indoor only cat, our last cat wasn't). Then there was the day she brought home a dead mouse - that became undead when put down. She sat weatching while I climbed under furniture, turned over chairs and tried to catch the little f)*ker

Ragdoll's are the latest fashionable cat to have, I've never had to worry about the animals she brings home being alive, this little one doesn't play with her food... she's a hunter and a good one at that, she was bringing home 2 dead things a week for me

Just imagine the amount of native wildlife she didn't bring home...

There, that's my "cat rant" done with (since this is actually a cycling focused board).

Looks like I'm a little late with any advice Missy (damn work got in the way!!). If you keep doing it though, stop eating grass. Works on the dogs!! There - I've just used my maternal instinct!!

Glad you feel better today :D

Sound like your days are dragging on, and you're carrying alot of baggage. Although it may not be possible at the moment, I think you need a holiday..

Holidays are for rich people, the baggage isn't that bad, its just carry-on.

Anyway, back to the real world.

Life is good, I know its only been a few days but they've been a few very good days...

Big thanks to CB, hannos, foo and twizz... you guys are the shizzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm going shopping tomorrow, no planned physical exercise... and I may just order the French toast as a treat...

Lots of love...
