But the paragraph before said, "The elder Schleck, 30, who came fifth in last year's Tour de France, made his break on that last ascent before a flat final kilometre to the line, holding off the challenge of Colombia's Rigoberto Uran (Caisse d'Epargne) who finished in the same time."
Not knowing the course layout would make you think he has no idea on distances. It makes sense, though, when you take into account the previous paragraph. Sort of.
