Postby Apple » Sun Jun 20, 2010 11:04 am

I find that when I ride solo, I can suck wheel and join in a male group with now problems. They don't mind and often ask me where I am going and would I like to ride with them.
If I do ride with them for the whole ride, they ask me for coffee and often offer to pay.
I don’t like them paying for my coffee as it really is not necessary. If they do, I often pay for the next round.

Being a female rider has its benefits. It is like a night out for me, my social life is my Sunday morning ride and having coffee with nice older distinguished men, and (sometimes they are younger) is keeping me motivated for the rest of the day and I am on a high.
I am a bike sl*t in a way but I really enjoy it.
Has anyone else experienced this?

(Mod Edit: Title changed to a family friendly mode.)

Do you have any tips on where I can meet "nice distinguished older men" riding bicycles?

I need to find a sugar daddy - one who will buy me a new bicycle :P

I'll happily buy them cups of coffee in return, and accompany them on rides.

Not sure I like the term "bike sl*t" though. Hmm ...

bike princess? No, too Missy.

bike kitten? No, too Christine.

bike bimbo? No, too derogatory.

Ahh, got it!

bike babe!

A lot better then the one they have now, that’s for sure. It would have captured a million viewers

Sent it to you, I can't believe they didn’t like the title, it took the excitement out of the whole thread, it now makes me sound like a diick head who thinks I am cool. Why couldn’t it be changed to “wheel sucker user” or Bike Whore?”

It's a fixed gear bike website, but if you frequented it you probably would have chosen your words differently... Their forums had a wordfilter where the c-word would become something like "wise and distinguished gentleman".

So change it again. Just edit your first post and change the subject. Just be careful with the language...

Isn't "fixed" what you do to a puppy before it gets too old?

So how does one do an org when fixed?

Or am I missing something here?

Fixed gear meaning a bike with only a single gearing and no freewheel.

your cool Apple, harmless flirting. a bit of a bike tart maybe.

Definately not a bike sl*t though, you'd have to have the makeup, outfit and pine cone inserts for that :P
