Hmm..bugger, appears that i have a choice of the Casey bunch at 7am or this one....would love to do both but being in 2 places at once is hard (even for a genius like me lol).

...and a 8am start lets me get an extra hours sleep.....Dont drink coffee but i am sure i can find something suitable (aint leaving my bike unchained their though lol)...cant decide if to train it in or get the legs warmed up and bike it in :D

just had a quick play on whereis.com.au and came up with a route like this.
http://www.whereis.com/?id=2150C70AFA969F

Distance one way was 31.3km but can someone check where to cross the yarra in the city and also the route to the water? I'm not sure if the Spencer St bridge is ok for bikes or if Bay St is the most convenient either.

The finish I have set is Tour de Cafe for a coffee in mordialloc, is this ok with everyone else?

Feel free to have a play with the route (click n drag blue line to alter it) and submit it til we can all decide :)

Cheers,
Spudley.

Spudley, sure you dont feel like riding it in? ;)

I'll be riding in from Burwood area, so it wouldnt be hard to meet up somewhere.

Weather Forecast
Friday: Morning clouds – Wind 8 km/h NE – No rain – Temperature 3 min. 15 max.
Sunday: Light rain early – Wind 10 km/h NNW – Rain 35% - Temperature 9 min. 14 max.

Friday certainly looks the better day for a ride.

From the bureau of Metrology

Forecast for Sunday

Cloudy. Isolated showers until evening. Winds north to northwesterly averaging up to 40 km/h becoming northwesterly up to 25 km/h later in the evening.

I never have worked out what 'isolated showes' means...sometimes it pours all day and sometimes i dont see a thing....

Hi RobRollin,

You will have to ask Missy what the best way is to get across from Brunswick to the Yarra Boulevard, as this is possibly the best area for you to go and ride Friday morning with a coffee at the Boathouse after the ride to fortify you for the ride back to Brunswick.

Well first day was exciting. Profesional bike fit was done by John at Kennedy Cycle Fit. Interesting and insightful. With the bike fit, I feel 60-70% more comfortable on the bike and in the TT posistion. Also gained power. More to come on the bike fit.

Melb on the first day, got lost quite badly. Cant beleive how many cyclists there are and the infastructure is excellent. At 930 at night there are still commuters.

Tomorrow a ride into the CBD
