I can't remove my rear wheel!

Postby chrisjie » Sun Jul 11, 2010 5:21 pm

My first rear wheel flat. I tried to remove the rear wheel using an allen key that fits perfectly into the nut. But it wont budge at all. Anti-clockwise I've put my whole body weight behind it. Nothing. Both sides wont budge a single millimetre. Am I doing something wrong? Or should I take it down to the bike shop and get them to use a tool?

Got something you can use to increase the leverage, eg a tube you can put over the key to make the handle longer (be careful how much you increase it tho)...

All good. I changed the angle I was going from, I leant over from the other side of the bike. Got the spare tire on only to find out the metal spike was too short. need a dif size :)
