Gang,
Does anyone know if this ride is going ahead this year?? I read on another forum it was on (Sept 5 obviously) when an earlier announcement was made, but can't find any info on the cancer SA site under fund raiser events.

its on their calendar but no extra info
i wouldnt imagine it will be any different to how it has been run before. parklands to lofty then down into the city via norton summit. pretty cruisy ride.

if i get killed while out on my bike i dont want a 'memorial ride' by random punters i have never met.

Thank you for participating in Father's Day Classic 2009. Together we raised $54,487 which was a fantastic effort in support of the fight to beat cancer.
Cancer Council SA is committed to making the best use of our resources in the fight against cancer. With this in mind, we have decided to discontinue 'Father's Day Classic'.
basically its been scrappedCyclists wanting to ride for a reason are invited to partner with Cancer Council SA and turn their Mutual Community Challenge Ride into a fundraising challenge at the 2011 Santos Tour Down Under.

Tried it, didn't like the taste so I spat it into the bin.Dahondude wrote:crikey MORE spam.....
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.
