Velogear SS/fixed wheelset
Gents, can anyone comment on the quality of thier wheelset and would someone like to comment on how much fig-arsing around would be involved in fitting these to a Trek 1200,from memory the backend spacing is 130mm

A couple of their wheelsets are discussed in this thread...
I've bought this wheelset based on the recommendations from others but haven't ridden on them yet. Can't comment on spacing other than to say that they definitely won't fit any old frame designed for 27" wheels (see previous sentence

I've just ordered a set for my cecil walker project. Find out soon enough what they are like.

My set just arrived. Very happy with the quality and they are also much lighter than I had expected !

I picked up some awhile ago and can verify the comment on the 27" fork spacing.
Otherwise haven't ridden them a whole lot yet, but no obvious dramas.

They are to put onto this, 700c.Then sell it

If you've got a road bike frame with 130 spacing, you can 'cold press' it (ie lie it on it's side and apply pressure, pushing rear stays together). Otherwise there's no problem putting 700c wheels on a frame made for 27" wheels, apart from the huge clearances you'll have. Def best to find a frame built for 700c, or go for 27" fixed wheels. They do still make them for people restoring older frames. They do only tend to come with low profile, silver rims though. But they look best on 27".

I believe Sun rims come in 27". Usually some on ebay.
