Anyone a member of a Triathlon Club

My son (12 yr old) and I are thinking of joining a triathlon club. Both of us love running and riding but our swimming needs work. I'm interested for the fitness and having a common interest with my son... my son wants to build his strength and fitness for cricket (his #1 love) and AFL.

Can anyone recommend a club in the Southern Adelaide area ?
Can we train with a tri club but just compete in duathlon (riding / running) events occasionaly until our swimming improves ?
Are there event suitable for both juniors and adults we can do together ?

I'm with the adelaide vales. They are a good club, and are currently holding a winter duathlon series. There are also weekly swim technique sessions held at St Peters school, on wednesday nights. They are centrally based, but this is kind of irrelevant. Friendly club, worth joining.
