The forum is very Quiet

The forum seems quiet at the moment. Can't be hibernation with summer coming on.

What is everybody doing?

I've been riding regularly with our over 50 group. Have them betting on which bike I'll bring to the ride as I alternate between SWB, LWB and trike. Usually a ride is between 40 and 80 km taking distance to and from start into account.

I've improved a lot but I'm still too slow. Average about 18/19kmh on the 2 wheels and about 14/16 kmh on 3 wheels.
I'm also getting much better on hills and can pass at least half the DFs in our group on most hills.

The last ride was to Mutton Bird Island. It was a pretty warm day and a headwind on the return. Several nasty steep grades on the way in but the down hills were great. Nice to find the hills more gentle on the way out. The great part about this ride is that you end up at a very nice swimming beach and with the nice weather thats exactly what we did before the return run.

So What have you all been doing?

For me, it has been a week of recouperating and undergoing physio after buggering up my neck/shoulder the week before. Ouch ....

Can't wait to get bent again.

Sorry to hear that Graeme. Hope you're back on the bike soon.

I missed out on the ride today and of course it had to be near perfect.

Hope to ride Monday, but there is some chance of thunderstorms.

Thought you would have had worn out by now. Hope not too much more delay. Still it gives you a bit of time for wheel and bike building so all is not lost. :)

I'm going to ride tomorrow. The neck's not 100%, but I think I'll be okay if I raise the seat a few pegs. More like a lounge than a recliner ......

I was thinking of the guys and girls out there this morning. It looked like a perfect day for a trundle along the river. I wonder where they ended up for brekky?

Cheers,
Graeme
