looks like a bike sponsorship deal with trek, as opposed to a merging of the teams. . .brentono wrote:Media, in Europe, take a chance to mention the possible merger of Lance Armstrong and the Schleck brothers team

It's even reported that whilst Porte is under contract for 2011, he's even making noises about what the future holds ... Seems like when you bring in Bertie, everyone else want's to go ......
So what is the % chnage of the teams roster - it would have to be close to 50%, with most of that being serious talent ....

"The UCI has announced a list of ten cycling teams that can be sure of receiving a ProTour license in 2011. For the remaining eight places, ten teams have qualified, but Astana is not among them. This really shouldn’t come as a surprise as the team struggled to provide financial guarantees last year, and the lack of their Spanish superstar Alberto Contador likely only adds to the troubles."

Seems that Clenbutador isn't Riis's only worry now - whilst the main 'owners of Saxo Bank are supporting Riis and Clenbutador, they may become an IT Factory sort of sponsor, as they are under Danish Investigation and trying to sell out of Saxo as a whole ..... all 3 of them ????
Very fishy indeed and must be making Riis worry a bit more ....
