So pull up your moaning chair, relax and prepare for some misdirection

Great idea, where's the coffee machine?
Anybody got any good videos for the 96 inch plasma?
Now who's hidden the T25 bit, I've got a rotor to refit...

I was waiting for it and my patience has paid off.
Perfect place for how to's (preferably with step by step photo guides).
Can't wait for some useful things to be posted.
Just remember next time your tinkering.
Mitch.
Until next time...

Heard the Australian company that makes eskys is closing its doors ,those two doods found floating adrift a few weeks ago may have been a publisity stunteuropa wrote:Of course they are, who else is going to tell us we're wasting out time and should be mowing the lawns?

Is there any room here for a 55 year old who has not been on a bicycle since he was twelve ?
I was thinking of putting together an old roady , maybe a single speed.....

New here huh?MiSt wrote:This sheds pretty empty?
You've wandered in to the garden shed. The proper shed with the beers, tools and the 1986 Penthouse calendar fading away behind the Charger 3 spoke steering wheel may be found here...

It's so big you missed it!

I'm new here and decided it would be prudent to introduce myself before asking for help. So here goes.
I'm from the Central Coast and like to ride when the weather is nice. I enjoy tinkering with my bikes and have a decent aptitude with them. I also enjoy learning new things. Anyway, I guess that's about it for now.
Cheers,
Steve

I am a little concerned on damaging it if I get it the frame sandblasted - does anyone have any experience or advice on this?

Probably should have also introduced myself before asking for help - I'm from Peter from Northern Sydney - do a bit of everything riding wise.Slowcoach wrote:I have got a very old frame (definitely pre 1960s) that I am looking at bringing back to life. I was going to get it sandblasted before painting, but have noticed that it has a tiny little hinged cap arrangement in the top of the bottom bracket housing. I am told that this is an "oiler" - I assume that it is for putting oil in the BB bearings?

While it is a shed related issue, it is a very specific one relating to older bikes.
A short thread in the retro section should get you the right answer fairly quickly.
Cheers
