Australia has many stunningly scenic places worthy of a world champion bike race,
these suburbs of Geelong must be truly awesome

but you want to put it somewhere where you're guaranteed crowds on the side of the road. while in this case they'll include bogans shouting abuse at the lycra-clad p****s for making them walk down to the shops (the horror), the coverage won't pick that up and they will just look like enthusiastic supporters.
