It was a wonderful spring day in Melbourne today and I headed out for my usual Sunday ride. I think it was a combination of the great weather and some fresh legs but whatever it was I turned into Forest Gump.
Everything went right - weather, legs were great, nutrition spot on and I can now tick off my first solo 100km.
How good is cycling!

Good stuff.
How did you find your speed was over the course of the ride? Did you hit a wall at any point?

Good one Pagey,
LOL my first 100+ was 120 km pushed too hard and hit the wall with 35km from home. When I eventually got there I could hardly stand my eyes were completly bloodshot and the wife yelling "where the &^*&%%^& have you been"
Only intended to go out for 70k's but felt good.............Should always take something to eat!!!!!

I averaged 32km/h and felt pretty fresh afterward. A little tired in the legs today though. How did you find your speed was over the course of the ride? Did you hit a wall at any point?
The next challenge is the ATB 250km in a couple of weeks. Hoping to grab on to a few bunches to make it a bit easier. We should set up a forum bunch
cheers

Some clarification on my riding time. I have been racing MTB enduros for a few years and have just got into road riding over the last 9 months.
I never thought I would enjoy it this much - I've now signed up to Caufield Carnegie to do some crits and road races
