I used to run ultramarathons when I was young and stupid (I'm 185 cm and 85 kg, not the ideal build for running from Sydney to Wollongong).

The common preventatives for nipple chafe are vaseline and / or bandaids (both already mentioned) but the tape they make for attaching IVs etc is very effective. Google 3M Transpore.

I knew a typical kiwi - sheep farmer - and he showed me the nasty mark sheep parasites left on his hands.

I believe it's called tendinitits.

Whenever I get it, I just take the clothes pegs off my nipples.

Not typical! No self respecting sheep farmer would allow his sheep to get that way  Must've been one of them Mainlanders.

the answer you seek is - "compression top", buy your self a snug fitting compression top and wear it under you cycle jersey or tee shirt. Kmart & Target sell them for around the $35.00 mark.

Washable nursing pads: $19.95

Though you probably need to get a sports bra with it to ensure it stays up there. It will also look as if you have well-defined pects.
