There's been some great games of netball happening too.

I think the simplest answer is any given sport is on where there's an Australian featured, but priority goes to events where they're a shoe-in (Men's points and scratch races for example).
Australian media are completely without bias like that

Hah - bare foot bowls and Lawn Bowls are worlds apart. In the former you have a bunch of drunk people slinging bowls as fast as they can at anything they can see... Oh wait, I know some people who play like that for real
But seriously, the difference is like going to pitch and putt and slashing away at the ball vs. heading off to play the US Masters

Anyone notice how empty the spectator areas are, both in cycling and the main stadium at the Commonwealth Games?

congrats al davis and cj sutton!

no thanks to Channel 10, whose program director appears to have an insatiable fetish for anyone in swimwear. every time they crossed to the cycling, they just went straight to ads, then back to diving. at least we saw the last couple of km.

Yep, finally got to see something other than swimming.

Magic effort from Davis getting across from the break and top marks to Sutton for his efforts. !!!!

i know how you feel!

ch 7's coverage of bathurst was delayed because of so many ad breaks. foxtel had the race finishing at 5pm and finished recording so i missed the last 10 laps

onehd advertised the 9pm slot as showing the final stages of the men's road race but it had finished by then so i missed that too

:x

Men's & Women's Time Trials
The Cyclones are hoping to cap off the Games with more medals when they line up in Wednesday's road time trials.
Australian road race champion Ruth Corset, Oceania time trial champion Alexis Rhodes and Canberra's Vicki Whitelaw will contest the women's 29km event. In the men's 40km race Australia's U23 stars will be out to impress. The three lining up will be World Championship U23 time trial silver medalist Luke Durbridge (l), newly crowned U23 road race World Champion, Michael Matthews and team pursuit World Champion Rohan Dennis.

How good is Davis? Crossed the gap and Cav couldn't stay with him to cross, then comes outa nd wins the sprint not too many kms further down!

Damn good work by Sutton to help Davis out after he made it across.

A shame that N. Ireland rider didn't win. The effort he put in, he deserved it. Gutsy!

Has anyone been watching the Track World Champs in the Netherlands at the moment??
Michael Freiberg won the most gruelling event the Omnium and is an absolute freak!! In the last kilometre time trial he needed a top 9 finish and results to go his way and he got there in 6th and a 4 point win overall.
I came across his website to see what he is about and it is fantastic
http://www.michaelfreiberg.com/, i also came across a video of the time trial, http://www.michaelfreiberg.com/2011/03/ ... sentation/
