Hey that is me. I haven't made it all the way down Beach Road yet, just from Brighton to Cafe Racer dans Mapei Team kit. 8)

If I got my wife to sew up a bunch of the Pengy! top tube covers, how many people would buy 'em you reckon?

I will have to build up a single speed and decorated it with said item. Should be available from Etsy very soon!

gonna have to give me a week or so. I bought a single speed kit from the tip yesterday (consisting of a dreadful Repco frame with stamped ends, 3 27" wheels, two tyres, a spare crank and a BMX cog) for the grand total of $20 that included a broken Apollo frame for some other bits. I will build the Pengy Homage when my BBB "fake track nuts" skewers show up.

Then, I will rake in the millions with those top tube covers. epic doesn't cover it!

I was wondering what the collective noun for hipsters be. Some I came across are

a fixie of hipsters
a pose of hipsters
a douche of hipsters
an annoyance of hipsters
an irony of hipsters
a meh of hipsters
an infestation of hipsters
a mustache of hipsters
a douchery of hipsters
a pretension of hipsters

I have noticed a fashion of black thick-rimmed glasses (some ex 3D) being worn by pre-teenage students at my school (NSW). Is this hipster craze catching on North of the border.

PS They have no association with fixies.

You have to admit than even if they annoy the crap out of you, the hitlerhipster site is the funniest thing for a while.

Scenesters are far worse than hipsters, that little thing called the Tour down under brings them out of the closet. Well atleast while its on then they hop back in for the rest of the year.
Bet the bike shops/industry hate the hiptsers coz most are thrifty, unlike the thousands spent by the scenesters

I'm in my mid thirties and just bought a fixie, although it has flip flop hub and i'm likely to use it free wheeling most of the time. I'll still use it fixed every now and then.
I bought it for some fitness and i loved the look of it.
I'd be riding a BMX if my body would allow it, but after years of abuse my knee's arent what they used to be! And i need my body for work.
And a MTB or any bike that can be easily jumped would be tempting me to much

I think everyone should be glad that the fixie crew are out riding instead of out driving ricers and v8's

Heh. Two straight front wheels and a boogered back one. Did the Jobst Brandt swap last night, so now I have a wheelset!
