Are awesome.
I'm having heaps of fun on mine. They are perfect for me, a nice cross between a roadbike/bmx stunt bike.

Re: FixiesProbably in the wrong forum, Timguy.... I think the mods might shift this to Fixed Gear/Single Speed.
But to actually add to your discussion; I'm no trickster. I basically ride conversions that have a plain road geometry, no clearance for bar spins and the like. I ride F+R brakes on one of my FGs and a Front on the other. Yes it's rapidly become a cliche over the last few years, but I enjoy the simplicity and the different riding style it requires so I keep things low key, for fear of being labelled a hipster and just do what I enjoy. One day I might even get some current pictures up of my bikes. Kym
All manner of half finished projects and a bit of randonneuring I used to be tech-savvy. Now I'm just tech-weary.
Re: Fixiesthats a good lookin bike. i might change my bars to something similar one day.
every once and a while i drag the fixie out for a run along the m7 cycleway. fixed gears and a front brake that sort of works means my quads tend to ache a bit, but it helps my road bike riding so much, especially with spinning up to high cadences. i try and keep mine ugly looking - the frame never got passed the undercoat stage - so as to be totally hipster like ! i just wish i had the skills / balls to ride it without brakes, and with a matching B43 on the front. I often see a guy on the M7 who rides fixed and brakeless. its quite a sight. ![]()
Re: FixiesWoops I didn't even know there was a fixies section.
Scotto even without the final coat of paint that fixie still looks alright. The challenge for mine is going to be keeping it clean. So far I've figured out how to skid brake with the pedals and how to stay in the one spot for around 30 seconds or so. I should be able to get track stands easy enough and riding backwards soon. I can do all that on bmx easily so it's just a matter of getting used to the fixie now.
Re: Fixies
Are they Stars Circles I see??
Re: Fixies
Hey I just noticed too, your wheels match your preferred brand of spray cleanser! Kym

Re: Fixies
Yeah, that non drive side pic is worth slap on the wrist. cell mallet is it?
Re: Fixieslol I took a pic of the drive side, but it didn't show the handle bars very well, plus the lighting was just aweful, so I went with this pic...
As for the cleaner, hell yeah, orange for bike colour, orange for cleaner and orange for food!
