Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?They... Used to have a shop on premises
Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?Well I've never heard of one there so I'm not sure what you're on about.
Recently it's been cheaper to order Velocity wheels from the US and post them back to Australia than it has going to your LBS. I know where I'd be buying them.
Re: Is this a good deal for wheels? The Velocitys Deep V's would retail for $700. The white ones.

Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?
The entire company for $700?!?!?!? I'm buying it!! If you're talking about a set of Velocity Deep V rims laced to Velocity hubs you'll get them for $450 or less but rarely under $400. 18 months a go I bought mine for $295 as someone had orderd them and then never returned to pick them up. As far as I know colour doesn't make a difference unless it a specialised laminated one ![]() However I don't think they sold many sperm ones anyway
Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?Personally I reckon the Fusion is a nicer looking rim than the Deep V and is solid enough to do whatever you want as long as it's not tricking.

Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?I was talking about the wheels he is looking at buying (You did realise that but you were trying to pull one wern't you)... The man on Gum Tree that is selling them says that the wheels would retail for 700 w/ tyre, tube and cog...
Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?
How much would those go for? They look quite good.
Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?Well the hubs look like older style Suntours, Zeus or Campags so lots..
I have a pair of Zeus hubs laced to black Fusions, with braking surface, if you're interested.
Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?Ahha, I'm sorta poor at the moment so anything expensive is like... expensive.
I just looked them up and saw that a site sold them for $159 each. Normal price? Cause I may get one after I get a job....

Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?
Same but not poor, just laking of money... I'm 12... I think that I may wait to buy wheels for a fixie and find a good pair of Velocitys for a price like the man on Gum Tree. I was thinking bout buying the Weinmann's but Velocity wheels have a better ride and more strength and I know that when I was younger (younger then I am now) that I used to thrash my bike around and then the wheels would get all untrue and I would be riding around on something I didn't enjoy riding on. It's always, always, the wheels or the brakes!!!!
Re: Is this a good deal for wheels?
Yeah, I read that... did I say something that made it seem otherwise?
