Great bikes mate, especially like the Dura Ace carbon cranks, pretty rare site.

However, in this photo it appears your left big toe might need a little anti-fungal treatment.

Trust some smarty pants to see my ugly feet in that shot. I noticed it & thought the wheels should be a big enough distraction away from my manky feet. Big toe story--while renovating our house in December 2009 almost 12 months ago I dropped a table on both my big toes. Both turned purple & the left one has only just grown back. Disgusting part was drilling through the nail with a dremel on a daily basis to release the blood.

If you're that good with details did you notice the little blob of black silicone on the base of the valve ? Stops it from ticking on every revolution. There's one for the kiddies!

Just had another look and the cassette has the 6600 code which is the older ultegra i think and the chain is DA (my bad)

The bike is meant to come with full DA but i think the LBS only swapped out some of the main bits as i wanted red

I'm currently trying to scrape up enough cash for decent old steel frame and another Rival group as I've become tired of commuting on my 26" MTB......seeing how nice your commuter is makes me green

36h Alex DM18/Joytech hubs (need 25 or 28 tyres); Oryx canti's, Koolstop thinlines; alloy rando bars, 90mm/10deg stem on threadless adaptor; 5500 105 9-speed shifters, RD, FD (to go on once I get the right size band), & Octalink cranks (to be replaced by compact in time); Brooks B17 Narrow (time will tell!).

Position not fully sorted, panniers awaiting rear rack. Full size frame pump FTW!

Tell me, what distinguishes a 'randonneur' style bar from other bars?

I may be using incorrect terminology there, I think they're more correctly called Maes Bend bars. They have a bit of an upward slope from the centre before the curve, and a slight splay to the drops, which seems to suit me.

Quite. But I've done the 'tape the bars only to realise the shifters need to change because the position is slightly out' once...and it wont be happening twice

Coincidentally, I believe my LBS has a pair of 28 Vittoria Randonneurs hanging up that might have my name on them.
