if your solution to every minor speed bump is to take it to pony bikes, why dont you just take it there with all you have so far and say, "finish this for me". she'll get it done quick flash. it'll save you a heap of time and a few hundred posts, no?

Did you strip down the entire bike yourself? If not, I am thinking this may be impacting on why you don't know how to put it together. With the bearing cups, I use a piece of pine over each cup to protect it and a G clamp. Tighten slowly and the cups will press in nice and firm. Have never had a problem with damaging any of the parts from since I was your age fixing my BMX or now fixing my own & my kid's bikes. If you don't have the tools/knowledge/parental supervision available to you, it might be best to have Pony Bikes refit all of your gear to get the bike up and running.

Exactly right you are. I just need Cranks because I can get some for $60 when pony bikes charge you like $150.

Nice shiny new 'CHEAP' $60 cranks are probably crap.
Someone has offered you older but better quality cranks in the meantime BUT because they're not 'shiny' you won't take them.

Admittedly EvilGenius is going about things in a rather arse about fashion, but I say good on him. He's trying to build a bike and every time he hits an obstacle (which evidently is approximately every 3 seconds), he's asking people ON A LOCAL CYCLING FORUM for help
