Just wanted to say hi to all you city cyclist that are too Exhausted to return my greeting after doing Checker Hill. So hello from a country cyclist and congratulations on going over the top.

how did you go ? We did checkers yesterday no one else around .I Struggled against some strong headwind.Cyclists going every which way in the foot hills today I guess some are sick of saying "Hi",others have alternate views.

I always have a smile and hello for other cyclist, except during this period of the year. Tad sick of the constant poor cycling etiquette and dangerous punters! I am more inclined to take a hack saw to their frame than shot out a smile!! Shame really as this is when we should be extra friendly and showing the south Aussie cycling spirit!

The other week I got a flat coming down old freeway, normally as a female cyclist there is a constant flow of inquires if I'm ok and needing a hand. But in peak hour flow of cyclist on two bothered to ask, so seems I am not the only one sick of punters!!

I have worked on all my bikes (road/ touring / MTB / old trasher shop bikes) for last ten years of riding, so I am more than able to fix a tube. What I meant was normally the majority of people inquire if you need a hand when stopped at the side of the road. Even when you are obviously are top of the repairs people inquire. It's a community spirit and caring gesture that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and it seems to disappear around this time of year.
