Not sure exactly what you mean EG but AFAIK no members bikes have been nicked after being featured here.
If you're feeling a little paranoid, just make sure there's nothing in the pic to point out where it might be. (Don't forget to turn off geotagging if your camera does that... )

What are the risks of posting your bike on here?
Do the odds weigh up?

Dude, posting a pic on a forum is the least of my worries in life
eg. climate change, terrorism, getting run over, cancer, ignorant people reproducing, paying off my home loan, finishing that report by friday, rust on my brake bolts, cant find my car keys...

In all seriousness, the risk is minor mate. Unless you post a photo of your bike with your street address, location of the lock key and dates/times that youre not home. And even then your bike would have to be worth a bit $$$ to bother with the risk.

Besides, dont most of your neighbours already know you have a bike, when you ride it, when youre not home etc ??

Its unlikely some random chums on a bike forum are going to steal your bike.

Looks good! :D

Thru-axle forks make a difference. 8) Might want to consider a shorter stem perhaps? Seems like it's about 120mm or is it just the angle on the photo?

The bikes an XL and I think the stem is about 130mm. I'll get around to getting a shorter one after I play around with the setup and work out how much shorter I want.

I've ridden a couple of Giants & they feel exactly the same in the suspension department as the SC.(Maestro v VPP, not much difference at all) Great bikes at a good price. If I didn't have good connections in the bike industry I'd be ridding a Giant for sure. Really like the current Giant XTC & Anthem 29ers.

New here, the site was referred to me by Zep. He assured me it is more fun than another South East Queensland MTB based website...

MTBer at heart but 90% roadie/crit racer nowadays but here is the current quiver:

THE bike, Olmo dynamic crirt weapon, in race trim 6.98kg:

10.5kg Niner AIR9 aka smurfette. Rode this one to 4th place at the 2010 half epic, this thing took 20 minutes of my time over the same course in 2009 ( on a 11.8kg Cannondale Prophe then)

Yes it glows at night:

More big wheels, Raleigh XXIX SS:

Track bike and some times streeter, Fuji track:

Its in Nowra. Currembene SF

The Anthem 29er is a great bike too. I rode my mates and was impressed. I had a rigid ss 29er and wanted a dually 29er but bought the reign in 09. If I waited 12months I would have got the Anthem.

Still thinking about getting an XTC 29er though.

Trickle (hehe  slightly faster than a drip, but not by much) this is the MTB section & hence your roadie scum should be posted in the skinny wheeled section on the dark side of this forum.

Forgive him he's new.
