Judging by the style of trigger shifter, I'd say that it's a '68 or '69 model.

I'd have thought mid 30's, but yeah, she could be a fit forty+

At a closer look, I'd say that is a Sturmey-Archer Drum Brake + Dynamo hub.

How does the front light get through the basket? Also love the new form of cleats, you stick the 3" heel into the pedal.

I have a front light on my touring bike in the same position, and routinely run a handlebar bag over it - runs fine. The light is quite visible under it and lights the road very well. If anything the basket will put a horizon on the beam to help keep from dazzling oncoming cyclists ( less of an issue with the halogen B&M Retro light)

If only more female cyclists would start wearing pencil skirts with high heels while commuting to work, cycling would become as popular as the combined football codes in Australia.

Really? I would be livid if my seat was placed upside down on the bare concrete and leant on like that. Livid I tell you. I do like those wheels, though. Velocity Deep Vee with graphics? They could really press some motorist's buttons in peak hour.

Look, this thread is getting just a bit gratuitous, isn't it?

All a bit unnecessary.
