Watch out when you get to the Dudley St intersection, the powers that be have installed a new pole at the Nth West corner that appears to carry a button for the crossing lights. It's only a shorty and it's right in the middle of the two way kerb cut
It is also unpainted gal pipe which does an excellent job of blending in with the grey of the concrete. I'll get pics tomorrow if it hasn't improved.

...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

My bad. Looks like they moved it about a metre, into the stream of traffic. Why couldn't they put the button for the lights on the lamppost which is right there? This thing is a hazard.

That's the one, a coat of yellow paint at the bare minimum thanks . I wonder who the authority would be?

shaun, did you mean the south-west corner? they took one out of that corner, but seem to have recently replaced it in a similarly perilous position to which you described.Mulger bill wrote: the powers that be have installed a new pole at the Nth West corner
