Really, grampa? I missed this last year. Looking forward to not missing it this time. Have entries opened yet? I looked a few days ago and there was nothing.

A phrase that should never be linked to the word 'incontinent'.
I ride, therefore I am. ...real cyclists don't have squeaky chains...

Might take the 3 little horror heads on the 25 km ride. anything more would likely kill them.

So as far as i can tell there is no free jersey this year. You can buy it online but it's not included in the rego. However prices do seem to be cheaper. i recall last year the 105km was $95 whereas this year it is $65. Happy to be told otherwise though

I'm likely out. New seat didn't arrive from the UK in time ( at CRC) and have very little Km in my legs over the past 3months. I was going to make the final call Sunday night depending on weather but don't think I can be assed either way now .

I am hitting the 100. I am hoping I can tag in with a bunch at this stage. Everyone I know is not doing it.

Not sure if this will affect Amy's Ride, but I got this from Vikings forum about the new Cotter Road roadwork situation Hi all. Just be aware that the roadworks on Cotter road have now opened the new bridge on the Stromlo side of Streeton drive. The road is wide enough to ride on but on the temporary section there are large piles of loose pebbles outside the car tyre lines which are very sketchy if you ride over them. The path is a better option until you get to the road where they have created a nice path to ride on but unfortunately that is made from loose gravel too. I don't know where they expect road bikes to ride. So if you're heading out that way just take care especially if you're barelling through there on Monday for Amy's Ride.
via http://v-mobile.org.au/forum/showthread.php?t=3373Good luck to those doing the Amy's ride!

I'm probably out (at least for the official ride) for two reasons: Funding and we're crewing for a hot air balloon which doesn't wrap up until about 9AM. Kick off for the balloons is at 6AM weather permitting, we'll be hanging out with an orange one (so I'm told), it's a pretty awesome spectacle so come and check it out

I'm very unlikely to be there tomorrow, not enough sleep has impacted my Lawn Bowls performance the last 4 games I think, so I'll be taking the wimpy option and sleeping in at least the first day (tomorrow). See how I go Sunday and expect to be there on Monday - it runs until next Sunday I think
