PBK have posted on FB that Richie Porte is the new captain of Saxo Bank.
Had an itch that this may (reserved) happen and am stoked if it is true.
Can anyone confirm this?
What do you all think? Personally, I'm pumped for him

He's a very exciting prospect Grant

I think he's being very realistic, the Tour is hard.

Looks easy on SBS though Chuck
I wonder if Bjarne will change his race calender much in preparation, I cant see Bjarne wanting him to go for gold in the tour of Italy with the TDF just around the corner especially if will be his first tour...as captain.
I agree that Bjarne R is the maker of stars, with a combination of that, Richies youth and talent. I'm looking forward to witnessing the first Aussie winner of the tour over the next few years. "fingers crossed"
Even with guys like Cam Meyer, Bobridge etc.... it's great to see the next generation of aussie riders coming up the ranks.
