Thanks Max. I do miss the area. There are three different ways for me to get to work and many excuses to keep on riding pass my work place.

Camera is nothing special. Lumix something....... and some photos are from my Nokia phone

Posted some pictures form my commute way back on page 2 of this thread

Thought I'd share a couple of new ones.

This is why this route doesn't work in the wet and I have to go down the highway instead:

Leitch's Rd Crossing in normal weather:

The old bridge across Enoggera Creek Herston:

The new bridge (lacking all of the charm that the old one had, but much more efficient of course)

Great photos people.
Still reckon I'm better off just walking downstairs to work, and saving the accumulation of 500 km or so per month for when I can enjoy it properly.
I do ride from home/work to the shops regularly, and to play sport one night a week, but I don't log any ride under 10 km.
With all due respect......

Not exactly a commute but I did get there by bike and take a picture - in two forms. :)

Ah - I get it now. :-)
I was copying a picture of some people from a convention dressed as Blade and a vamp. Didn't intend for it to be directly related to this. :-)

Wish I'd had my camera today, the Parramatta river was mirror perfect with the sunrise/clouds etc. Was pretty spectacular.

Geeze no idea, but looks like a great commute to work. Are you sure you didn't cheat and take a scenic detour? :P

No detour needed for that one...I go past it every time I ride to work (which is usually once a week). It can feel like Pitt St for bikes about 7:30-7:45 in the morning.

Here's a couple from yesterday's trip home, they're not very picturesque I'm afraid, it was very cloudy and threatening rain. I only took the 2 as it started raining soon after and I ziplocked my phone and wallet away. For those that are unfamiliar, the hills ahead of Pic 1 have to be ascended then descended back down to Mooney Cooney Creek that feeds the Hawkesbury River then back up again before heading down (again) to Gosford.

Pic 1 - Watch out cagers about, the F3 at the Hawkesbury River up to the left.
Image

Pic 2 - A view over the Hawkesbury River. You can only just make out the real Brooklyn Bridge in the distance (ie the rail bridge)

Worked from home today so not really classed as commuter pics, but I thought what better way to spend my 'lunchtime' and employers time than hitting my local 30km loop which I haven't riden in 6+ mths :D
It's all looking very miserable and muddy in midst of winter, but it wont be long before everything you see turn a gorgeous green...

It's about a 5km ride from my doorstep to get to the beginning...
Image

Loads of hedges line these back lanes, they create a brilliant wind tunnel effect and it doesn't take much effort to get up some good speed...
Image

In the middle of nowhere really, I've passed it countless times, but never managed to dropped in for a pint. It's always packed during the summer...
Image

Loads of rolling hills, but nothing to big to really worry me with one gear...
Image
Image
Image

The base of heartbreak hill. Up to the right is one seriously short and sharp ascent - only successfully tackled it twice. No chance on the SS. My extended loop ride takes in heartbreak hill but not today!...
Image
Image
Image

Cute little cottage on one of the quieter back lanes...
Image

On days like today I'm thankful for the mudguards, only a few specs of mud on my white jersey. Amazing considering the amount of mud on the lanes...

Here's the same vista as previously only this time on a sunny afternoon...

Image

and

Image

And although not strictly a commute, this is the same road in the other direction, this time from Somersby looking towards Mt White just before you cross over the F3 (at the top of Mooney Mooney Bridge). I took it one Saturday morning as the look of the cloud in the valley was beautiful. This shot is taken at about 200m and you're above the cloud

Image

And this was down in the valley just as I started the uphill climb through the middle of the cloud (pretty yes, but wet too, I was soaked through after the descent into the cloud) This shot was taken at about 20 meters.
