Thanks. I didn't recognise the names from last year. Guess they didn't make an impact. Andrew

The Geox-TMC team is notably absent from the start list for both races. It includes 2008 Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre and podium contender Denis Menchov.
This will help the likes of Cadel as Menchov was a contendor this year according to Andy?

Some advice for Cadel from Andy too.... http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/schleck ... nce-rivals I think he's right. To podium again he really needs to focus on the TDF, all other racing as pretty much prep only. LA has shown the way there

Menchov could be still there though. Without Contador, he's got a good chance of winning the Tour this year by beating Andy in the TT and hanging on with him in the mountains. Saxo or Katusha could pick him up cheap.

I'm sure vacansoleil wasn't part of the tour last year, or i defenatly need new goggles... They are a dutch team, and this is their first participation since its start in 20009. (this typo of the year is taken from this site) They also have a site availible in english websiteInteresting to see what they can do, good to see a second ducth pro team.
The dutch have one word to describe the aussie MHL, this word is ; SCHIJNVEILIGHEID !!

No I didn't,Andrew just asked who certain teams where...and I told him.I never said Saur-Sojasun was in the tour last year or even implied it.The only mistake I made was the Nationality of Saur -Sojasun.It is a French sponsor and a Dutch based team.

I also said OR I read it as.... seeing the thread title is TDF teams announcements, not a completely strange concusion... Relax a bit...

Meh, we all get confused... i tend to get confused often... I am not sure about the complete history of Vacansoleil (i admit the name sounds very french...) But the company has its head office in Eindhoven,The Netherlands. (my first thought is; it is a dutch company, but i can be wrong here...)
