I've just done a rudimentary search of the SBS site, trying to find out if either of 'Het Niuewsblad' or the Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne will be shown here?
No joy so far - anyone got any insights on whether we will see it on Oz tv at all?

I doubt it, these season opening races are rarely if ever seen in Oz. Better to get onto the Belgium websites that stream or show highlights. BTW two of my fav hardmen Flecha and our own Matty Hayman made the podium in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad!

The win for Langeveld, Rabobank have started the season well. Flecha is a bit of a perenial bridesmaid. Still, better to be in the mix than not.Uncle Just wrote:BTW two of my fav hardmen Flecha and our own Matty Hayman made the podium in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad!
Nice result for Hayman

Thanks for the replies.
It was good to see that result for Rabobank, although I do feel for Flecha who will look at that sprint photo for a while and wonder just how close a race can be over such a distance.
I was just hoping SBS might have some sort of summary package they might throw our way.
Righto, off to utube!
cheers,
Marcus

Good luck Omloop Het Nieuwsblad was not even broadcast with English commentary, I watched a Spanish Livestream instead.
Eurosport and others are not interested in the opening weekend of the classics
Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, you will find your options limited to French, Spanish, Flemish or Dutch commentary if you know where to look for livestreams hint steephill.tv or cyclingfans
If the quality of these livestream is not your thing (and they are not the best) or you need to sleep tonight, cyclingtorrents.nl is currently having server issues but I expect they will have dutch or flemish commentary versions for your viewing pleasure in the next day or so.

Yes but do not expect it live to SA or WARichard.L wrote: Ive heard that they will be showing Tour of Flanders and Paris- Roubaix again
If you want to convince SBS to show it live in all states the head of TV and online at SBS is Matt Campbell
and SBS email addresses are firstname.lastname@sbs.com.au
