I didn't know what to do with myself after the ride this morning as I didn't have to wash the road grime off or lubricate the chain.

Came home, mowed and I am a ball of sweat! It's 33.2 now but the apparent temp is nearly 38!

At 5am on Cootha it was sort of cool..... but when I got home at 8am it was revolting. And then got worse.Comedian wrote:Man I did a couple of laps of the Cootha this morning.. it was hot.

Good idea getting there early. My group met at 6:30 at JC Slaughter and started then. I think I got home just before 9 and she was getting pretty warm. 3 water bottles on the ride plus about a litre when I got home. I think the bacon and eggs afterwards wasn't the best ideaValleyForge wrote:At 5am on Cootha it was sort of cool..... but when I got home at 8am it was revolting. It was almost like an English summer day!
Clean bike is clean no more, and the wet weather gear had stayed home....

I never take them off the bike. Summer they are set to flashing, Winter (last week) set to constant at least for the start. But that's usually 4:40am for me.fullsteamahead wrote:Nice to have first light at 5.10am, get to use the ay ups again....Mornings are becoming a little crisper which is good too.
Bring on winter i say, have to be the best time of the year in Brisbane.

Yaay well done.Oxford wrote:enjoying the rain on the ride, so much nicer than the humidity. mudguards make riding in the rain so much more pleasant.
I saw a dude riding in with no shirt on today and thought that was a good idea in this rain. Took me 1:10 on the bus - 40 minutes longer than the ride

Not enough breeze and too much humidity! Very nice during winter though.
