Dunno. I forgot to ask about them again when I picked up the bikes. I'll check back with them tomorrow. Still need to get some feedback on the Hyperon's reliability, though.
SWEEEEEET!

a little disappointed we didn't see all the intermediate shots of under-tape cable routing and all that sort of vicarious goodness laager. at least she is dun.

Might need to tweak the Ergopower unit positioning a tad. I think up on the 'bars a couple of millimetres might do the trick.

Nice touch with the bar tape wrap:

What a shame you're going to have to re-do the bar tape. Why didnt they ask you to position them when you dropped in? The red hoods look the business though.

I love my Hyperon Ultra Two Tubulars. They are a year old and I look after them. Done ~2500k, and already worn out a set of Veloflex Servizio Corse tyres.

Straight as a die. My riding partner has just had his Rovals replaced AGAIN due to fractures in the rim or hub and they are not much older. Recommend Hyperons v.highly, except for braking in the wet.

And +1 for the comments about Shimano. I'm a long term Campagnolo rider and I just cannot believe what Shimano riders are willing to accept is a "smooth" shift or a "quiet" chain. I can hear them for miles grinding away....

Very nice. That's a beautiful bike you have. Just needs some bling wheels.
He really does a nice job on bar tape.

My Fondriest R10 is my commuter bike too, I used to ride other bike, but decided to upgrade because I ride everyday pretty much...plus people commute in flash cars, what's the difference? I know what people say about weather, etc, but apart from the last few months, Qld has pretty good weather so why not commute as if everyday was special?! :D

I find my commuter bike (cross check w/panniers) far more practical for commuting. It's not as fun as my roady though :( Still, commuting every day, practicality wins out.

I guess it's personal preference and what one finds more comfortable. I don't mind getting a bit muddy if it rains, although I hate riding in the rain and getting the bike wet... but I am not a big fan of panniers, I prefer a bagpack where I can take stuff I will need for a few days, then ride without one other days. I think it would take me longer on a commuter bike as well and I am always running late.

How do you find the upshift with your campy group? I find the little lever a bit too "loose" feeling. That asides I do love my chorus group :)
