Rode up the tracvk with no probs last night (except the headwind near the top ), and started the descent same as many time before.
It was strating to get dark by this time (about 7:40pm), and had my Magicshine on as well.
Now, I've ridden down there many times before, and in the pitch black, but tonight, with a small lapse in concentartion , almost dumped it at speed.
It was on the RH bend above the last hairpin (Devils Elbow) where there is a bitumen join line that follows the road curve . Managed to get the front wheel caught and it really gave the handlebars a solid shake (enough to give me a sore shoulder), but somehow, I managed to correct it and keep going.
So, now that darkness is descending for after work rides, be careful !!
