Really well finished off project and I love the Mixte looks. I saw one as a display in the window of a Chatswood Westfield clothes shop and wanted one then.

Very Nice! I've got a Raleigh Medale mixte eyeing me up in the front yard... Bought it to haul my daughter round on the back of (she just didn't suit the Colnago) but theres a long weekend ahead... Maybe I need to buy a REALLY crap bike for daughter transport then I wouldn't be so tempted to fix it up all the time!
Nice Ride! (hope you've got a pre-nup!)

+1

Really nice bike. I've been wanting to build up a bike for my GF for a while. Just waiting for a decent candidate/donor and some free time.

Spoted a nice looking bike a few weeks back on the verge, didn't pick it up as I was on the way to Uni. Looked for it on the way back a couple hours later and it was gone. :(

The stem looks a long way out!

Beautiful bike though.

Yep Im glad I didnt buy the longer Technomic stem, but its quite comfortable with the high handlebars.

Spot on but the label isnt really a sticker, I had lightly scrub it with some fine steel wool to remove the label.

i think these look a little bit nicer than the tektros, not that the tektros are not good looking. i would have bought these had I known they existed at the time.

I picked up one of these recently too - a decent quality bike , tange 900 double butted Cr-Mo, I can see why you would go to the effort to build one of these up as you have.

Just caught up on the rest of this build. Looks fantastic! Any more recent photos? They're great looking bikes!
I never got around to building my Vogue frame up, it's now on eBay, though the paint isn't as nice as yours.

Also noted another thread where one of these got built up: http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewt ... ue#p792606

Thats 3 very nice looking vogues! Glad they're not all ending up at the metal recyclers.

heres some new pics but nothing has really changed. except for a couple more scratches :( it was definitely worth doing up though. actually rode past some pedestrians and overheard them saying "i wanna get a bike like that". that's always nice :)

but i do get a bit of chain skip in some gears. i think the teeth are pretty worn. anyone got a newish 5-6 speed 13-24ish suntour freewheel lying around? pm me.

I would look on ebay for a new freewheel :)

I have had a mixte in the shed for at least 2 years that I have been meaning to resto, but riding has won out over working on bikes lately. I don't seem to be able to fit both in!

great new pics tho :)
