Thanks Chuck
I must say though I was shocked by one of the adverts on the right hand side of the picture. Colnago's new bike is called the EPO...... Then on closer inspection its the EPQ...
Well it made me laugh anyway

Couple more mainstream media HERE and HERE.
It's gonna take a while methinks.
If it's still grey in July will he be allowed to ride?

...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Yawn. Just let us know when CAS makes its ruling. Can't wait to see Contador out of the peloton for at least a year.

The TdF organisers could introduce an open investigation rule - which would exclude riders, teams or staff who are under open anti-doping rule violations. Its their race, they make the rules.
The Tour of California had previously had that rule in place, but dropped it for this years event to allow Armstrong to compete if he wanted to..............

Or they could just not invite the team as per Astana days .... but that might be too easy.
Sadly, all the PT or is that WT teams get an auto invite - can they be uninvited ?

WADA is now appealing separate to the UCI's appeal .
Hopefully if one appeal doesn't work, the other will.

Whilst that is true, they'll be pushing hard to get that. Imagine the sports credibility when, he rides the Giro & wins, and then rides the TdF and wins, only to get banned after (due to the UCI & WADA appeals) and the winners of both GT's is suspended and has to hand back the trophies.
Decision before the Giro - no way.
Decision before the TdF - odds on i reckon, to save face if nothing else.

It would be bad for the sport if he were to win both and then be suspended. Let's hope for a quicker than expected ruling whatever way it falls.MichaelB wrote:hannos wrote:

A little more here....

Re winning the Giro and the Tour, that's a very tough thing to do, even for Contador. Schleck is focusing soley on the Tour, given how close he came last year he'll be very hard to beat. We saw how hard it was for Cadel and Basso at the Tour having gone all out at the Giro.
