As all riders in CT road opens carry transponders, I guess full results should be available somewhere.
Can someone tell me where to look please?

Depends on who's running it. The Longford - Campbell Town transponder management was a mess... But try http://tas.cycling.org.au/
Still young enough to win the Tour de France

I looked there for Burnie 80 results. Two placegetters shown in B grade, one in E grade.mcdurdin wrote:Depends on who's running it. The Longford - Campbell Town transponder management was a mess... But try http://tas.cycling.org.au/
That is hard to believe.

Depends what grade they signed up for, on Sunday there was a kid who placed 2nd or 3rd in B that was in D grade.....he got bumped into B, he's part of the NTID squad.

Does this mean that B grade had only 2 starters, and E grade 1 starter?RobRollin wrote:Depends what grade they signed up for, on Sunday there was a kid who placed 2nd or 3rd in B that was in D grade.....he got bumped into B, he's part of the NTID squad.

4 in Div 1
10 in Div 2
6 in Div 3
5 in Div 4
2 in Div 5
The kid put himself down in Div 4, obviously much better than that as he placed in B grade! He will now be riding in B.
Check out my race report

Rob, are you saying that the event had only 27 starters in total for 5 grades?RobRollin wrote:4 in Div 1

The OP is talking about a different race - Burnie 80 on Saturday- the results from which are 80% incomplete.RobRollin wrote:4 in Div 1

The kid's name is Gerald.
FWIW, the guy that got 4th overall on Sunday at the vets race had himself in C grade. Not sandbagging, just overestimating the competition.

I am the OP, and I have been careless, cooking up a dogs breakfast as a result.
Let me clarify.
I saw Burnie 80 results on the Cycling Tasmania site and noted 16 riders shown over 5 grades.
My question is, "Where do I find the results for ALL riders in the Burnie 80?
Edited once:-
This has nothing to do with Gerald the kid. Where he entered himself is irrelevant. I'm simply interested in all starters and all finishers, which I presume was all recorded by the transponder system.
Edited twice;-
I have looked at the CT site again. The only "Gerald" shown is in u17. Are you people plotting together to have me convince myself that I am going nuts?

Your guess is as good as mine as to what happens to the Cycling Tas results. Been going on for years.

I take the results posted on the vets site with a grain of salt. Not the first few but the unwashed masses . All I know is that in my only race, there were people that were a few mins back down the road who were shown as being 10 places or so in front of me Not that I could give two hoots where I finish, inaccurate results will upset some that are right into it and I can understand that.
Im with you Jeff, finding results on Tasmanian racing of all ages is frustrating. And I do appreciate the work the vets do and Louise's cycling column on the Cycling Tas site.
cheers
