I was looking a new single speeder project and have been on the look out for a suitable frame.
On a visit to my folks place the other night, I noticed one of my first racing bikes still there. It is a Tangaloy frame and I couldn;t get close enough to have a look at the components but they looked like generic Shimano. I couldn't see a brand on the frame.
What does everyone think about Tangaloy frames. It looked quiet nice with its lugs and round tubing.
Is this my start of a single speeder?
Tangaloy complete bike - is it worth resurrecting?

Probably a Shogun selectra then. (I recall the heiracy of Shoguns being Ninja, Samauri, Katana, Selectra).
Tangaloy is probably another name for Tange Mangaloy tubing, a manganese alloy steel, considered to be below 4130 chrome moly in the heiracy of steels but above 'ordinary' high tensile.
Manganese alloy steel shoulkd not be confused with manganese molybdeum steel (eg Reynolds 531, 753) which is considered even better than chrome moly.
