Giant TCR Advanced 1 2011 - Wheels

Hello,

I am looking for a new set of wheels to replace the current RS80 Carbon/Alloy. I need something lighter for hill climb and some flat roads.

My budget are $1500 - $2000.00

PM sent, but if you want really really really light wheels, tubulars are a go, but a pain if you have a puncture.

Could grab a set of dura ace carbon . There are a couple of sets in our club, pretty good apparently.

How do you find the bike? Is the frame nice and stiff around the bottom bracket?

I ride my 2010 TCr Adv. 1 with TWE 50mm full carbon clinchers.

1380 grams the pair (I weighed mine)

I am looking at a set of dura ace carbon but with the same money you can acquire Reynolds MV32 at Jensenusa. I just need a set of wheels which can perform well on hills mostly and sometimes on flats.

This is my first carbon bike and over a period of three months road test several brands of bikes before deciding on Giant TCR Advance 1. Initially, my friend is tried to push me towards Advance SL with dura-ace. I was tempted but decided that I am not competitive enough to enjoy the bike. Getting Giant TCR A1 gives me loose change to acquire several other upgrades.

I personally love the TCR A1 because is comfortable and stiff with power transfer at your disposal. At the end of the day, is those legs that gets you over the line.

That's why after getting a good sets of wheels, I will stop upgrading and enjoy the ride.
