Leigh thought it would be a good idea to see everyone's bikes, and I agreed. So, to get the wheel rolling, here's mine in it's current incarnation:

It's a Bacchetta Giro 26 (2007) with 700c wheels and quite a few other mods.

Cheers,
Graeme

Is the Bacchetta as fast as it looks?

A slightly outdated photo of mine, much like Graeme's except mine is currently rather closer to the stock spec'. I've got some new bits on their way to me from Chain Reaction Cycles and Calhoun Cycles though... :)

Missing from this photo are my FastBack Double Century underseat hydration/kit bags, a very handy way to carry water, tools and spares. I've got a different headlight now too (B&M Ixon Speed double head) but it's off the bike during Summer. I'm using Crank Brothers Quattro pedals now too, rather than the old Shimano M424s in the photo.

It is. I'm not ..... :)

(Must say though, the 700c wheels are a revelation. I had no problems keeping up with the wedgies this morning and managed to overtake many of them by the time we got into the CBD.)

Stop saying things like that or I'll have to build 700C wheels too, and I've already spent far too much on bike bits this month already...

yep, you're a long way from spearwood. Blue is being kind, its more like turquoise, rust and grey primer with road crud highlights. The perfect beater bike.
It is a most unusual sight sitting behind a rucumbent and not seeing feet/pedals going around.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would find it difficult to satisfy all three of those conditions to do the test...

The third one I can manage pretty often, the second I can get close to for quite a bit of the time but finding a decent length bit of flat road in Sydney is almost impossible :? I am curious about what my still air, level ground steady state and sprint speeds would be on the Comfy Chair but I'd probably have to go to a track, velodrome or somesuch to find out.

It was fun riding along the other day, listening to my son complain about the head wind which I hadn't really noticed :D

I don't really know since I don't carry a computer, but my commute from Spearwood to the CBD of Perth is about 26km, mostly flat, and with little wind in the morning (always some though) with traffic lights in a few places. It takes me about 55 minutes.

Tomorrow, I'll put my GPS onto the bars for you and let you know what I cruise along at. I'm guessing it's about 33-35km/h.

Behind me? I thought you were in front of me! At least, from the Bell Tower onwards, I was following a cruddy blue (sorry - turquoise) fixie heading eastwards. Wasn't that you?

I certainly noticed the headwind last night (and likely will again in a few minutes time) since it was 30+km/h. I think others were noticing it more though .... I must agree though: minor headwinds are not noticeable other than the wind on my ears making a lot of noise. Empty vessels and all that! ;)

Cheers,
Graeme

The wind was that strong last night jeez :( I was out riding from around 6:30pm on and was struggling with it in a few places. Was nice when it was behind me though. This was on my DF of course, until I actually get a 'bent ;)

Having ridden with you Exadios, I'd like to draw people's attention to the boots permanently attached to the pedals and the wonderful "panniers" you use. Your beast is truly a multi-purpose transport device.

Whoa there big fella! :) I got mine for the long commutes into that bloody Freo Doctor. (Didn't help too much tonight though - bonked and cramped with the heat and the wind and the lack of riding for a month. :() I reckon your stable has a pretty good selection in it already!

Cheers,
Graeme
