Before and After Pics by all restorersBefore and After Pics by all restorersOk, lets get serious. no chit chat, no small talk. Just before and after pics of your beasts.
steel is the real deal.
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERSAlright, it hardly qualifies as a restoration but someone has to kick this off, I mean even the OP hasn't bothered to post any pics yet
It's an eighties Krapf, rusty and unrideable verge collection, now looks very pretty and gets ridden any time I don't need to carry much. It's had a new chain, bartape, brakepads and a clean. The biggest job was removing the scabs of rust on the chrome. Since the after pic it has been treated to new tyres, wheel truing, a wireless computer and a missing locknut from the front brake. Apologies for the small talk ![]() ![]()
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS
I know you said no chit chat, but this is how i read your first post and had to have a double look. lol
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS
now thats what we like to see, ive seen pics of this bike before and have come close to doing same on my 90's shogun katana, but id have to get it chromed to be able to pull it off properly. id post some pics of its before and after but i dont know how. steel is the real deal.
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS

Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS

Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERSLooks brand new. Interesting stem too?
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS
I don't have a garage
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERSHere was my first ever bike project, pieces scattered everywhere now. Chepo Apollo IV. Not much of a resto really as I didnt exactly 'restore' much, rather than replace - but still

Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERSHere's some before/after of my wife's Ted Easton.
(starting off with a nice garage door drive side pic just for you minority!) http://img683.imageshack.us/slideshow/p ... 27tpc.smil
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERSA repost from the applo thread, ( viewtopic.php?f=23&t=37956&hilit=apollo#p569014 ) but anyway
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS
the black and white colour scheme looks good the white wheels go well with the gumwalls, red spokes or a tiny tiny bit of red somewhere would have been the bomb but thats just my taste. steel is the real deal.
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS
the stem has quite a bit of weight to it, it was on the bike when i got it as was everything else except for the cables, cable caps, cable outers, bar tape, chain, bottle cage bolts and brake pads. i purchased an ozito polishing tool like the dremel tool only cheaper. every part polished or painted. oops, im chit chating steel is the real deal.
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS
that was a real treat to see those pics. that restoration is unbelievable- and that chain guard is the goods especially with the pin striping detail. this post topic is going to rock. steel is the real deal.

Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS
Benotto
thats an awesome resto, are you happy with it? steel is the real deal.
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERS
Superb recovery! The work on the Benotto is also very impressive. I'm feeling inspired to dust off the old steel frames in the shed and see what I can do
Re: BEFORE AND AFTER PICS BY ALL RESTORERSno before picture, because the frame already had some work done by owner...
It took me a looong time to get all the colours on the frame, but the endresult is quite nice.. : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The dutch have one word to describe the aussie MHL, this word is ;
SCHIJNVEILIGHEID !!
